Dear Target,
Let’s talk! I’ll do it on my blog since I keep getting disconnected whenever I call customer service for assistance.
I know the Missoni line has major hype and is in major demand. I check my local stores nearly every day for MY SIZE. Not to resell, not to make a profit, but for me – someone who has been buying Target collaborations since the days you’ve started. I still have Paul & Joe for Target items in my closet. It’s serious.
I understand it’s impossible to get whatever you want with this collection. I still can’t find the expresso cups. I understand you get shipments daily and can’t guarantee any item to anyone, because quite frankly you don’t know what each store is getting in.
But to have an item on the fitting room racks and have it there FOR SALE, then to deny someone the right to purchase that item?
Completely disgraceful and horrible store policy.
I’m sorry, but if items are not to be sold, regardless of the situation, they should be checked before they are put out on the racks. I literally had the item snatched out of my hands at checkout and the store associate was rude. When I inquired more, she basically just kept repeating herself that it was an online item. The managers at the store weren’t helpful either. They said if I found the DPIC for the item, they would sell it to me. I couldn’t find it so I called Target.com. I got disconnected multiple times by the automated service. Finally, when I got through, they couldn’t even help me.
The manager offered me “apology coupons.” Are you kidding me? I want to purchase the item that I found on the shelf. I want not to be treated in a rude manner. I want to buy the item that was for sale.
Until then, I’m done with Target. And I mean it. This is not how a customer deserves to be treated.
edit: was able to buy the item after speaking with customer service on the phone. still annoyed at tarjay.
