botkier obsession.

confession time. i always have admired botkier from afar. i've always loved their designs. i even tried to get a botkier x target bag a few years ago - but the quality was truly (and unfortunately) disappointing.

this summer, i was admittedly going through a lot (sleeping at the hospital every night with my dad being sick and unfortunately passing away...aka the nightmare summer).i turned to shopping to make myself feel better (temporarily at least). i updated my designer handbag collection with four new bags from botkier.

the thing i love about the botkier website is the fact that they do list some amazing sales every so often. if you're dying for botkier like i was dying for it - keep your eyes on that section. i really got more for my money and added some beautifully crafted handbags to my collection!

i DID get all of these bags on sale, which is the reason why i was able to buy them all. at the time, they were having an amazing sale and i had some $ saved up. so it was well worth it for me - especially when you're talking about amazing, buttery italian lambskin. i don't need to brag about the quality of botkier - it speaks for itself.

harper hobo in naked

i was on the hunt for a bag that fell into the nude trend of last summer. i LOVE this shade of nude/pink. it's so versatile and classic.

harper large satchel in teal

i fell in love with this bag and literally stalked it. i was so afraid that it would sell out at the awesome sale price that it was listed at. i don't own any bags that are this color so i figured it was a cool addition to my collection. i wore it almost all summer and it was the perfect bag for the summer! i LOVE that you can wear it crossbody too.

dion large hobo in expresso

i originally ordered this as a laptop bag for my mac book, but decided that it was TOO nice to keep it just for a laptop bag. i LOVE LOVE LOVE the shape of this bag and i can fit my life into it. i've actually seen this particular bag on gilt groupe recently.

bond st. small hobo in gold

i LOVE gold. and i can never have enough of it! :p i adored the mesh detailing on this bag.

the only thing that kinda bugged me was that i had to pay for shipping on each order. we all know i'm kinda allergic to paying for shipping, but at the prices that i got the bags at, i really can't complain! also - just a heads up, all sale items are final sale. so if you do order a sale item, keep this in mind.

i can honestly say that i don't own any bags that are in any way similar to my botkier bags. they're all really distinct (in a good way!) i always like, stalk, their shoe section. hopefully i can add a pair of botkier shoes (and more bags, of course! :p) to my collection in the future!

dear gap.

hi there!

i haven't had a chance to write any letters in a while, nor have i felt compelled to do so...so feel special gap.

unfortunately, it's not a happy one. last night, i had date night with my mom. i went to nordstrom cafe (had delicious shrimp and asparagus risotto, omg) and saw how do you know (highly recommend!). on the way walking to the movies, i spotted a beaaaaautiful cardigan on display in the window at gap.

it was seriously calling my name.

but i was running late for the movies, so i (sadly) had to walk away.

the movie was over around 10 and the mall was still open due to special holiday hours. on the way walking back to where we parked, i saw the cardigan on display in yet another window.

obviously, i took this as a sign that i needed it. the shopping gods were calling...duh.

so, i walk in and i ask where i could find it because it was literally nowhere to be found. one of the sales associates checked around and then went to his manager. his manager then rudely said that there were none left. when i mentioned the POSSIBILITY of taking it off of the display, the manager looked at me like i literally just murdered someone with a scarf like, on the salesfloor.

a. i have never been in a circumstance where they would not sell me the item off of a display model. ms. rude manager, you could have been nicer.

b. really, corporate WOULDN'T want you to make a sale?

c. um, i wanted the cardigan. I BATTED MY EYELASHES AT YOU DUDE.

d. i was tempted to take it off the mannequin myself.
(and it was destiny because the mannequin size WAS MY SIZE)

e. CHEER UP, IT'S THE HOLIDAY SEASON, DUDE.

have to say, i have no interest in going back for the cardigan. or ever shopping at gap again. i'm super disappointed.

it's beginning to look a lot like...

christmas!

and i'm returning to the blog, FOR REAL this time. i was a bit busy with the end of the semester and also suffering from severe writer's block. i don't know what it was, but with the semester coming to a close and having some more free time on my hands...i feel the desire to blog again.

i used to get a lot of requests for outfit posts. while i'd LOVE to do so daily, i just don't have the patience or the proper photographer :p however i do have a little bit of a surprise for you all, which is a picture of the outfit i wore to a christmas party :)

doki geki blazer (found here, but sold out unfortunately.  highly recommend this brand for blazers!), rodarte x target dress, black leggings, tiffany and company little blue bag necklace (found here, i have the longer chain which is 18 inches), kate spade bow ring (found here, here and here), michael kors watch (found here and here) and high heel booties that i've literally had forever - i believe they're isaac mizrahi x target!

every year it seems like i turn to my hayden panettiere for dooney and bourke clutch (pictured above). i was literally obsessed with the design when it came out a few years ago and just had to have it. $295 definitely was NOT cheap for a clutch (and honestly, i don't know how i stomached paying that for a CLUTCH!) but i'm glad i did. the design proves to be timeless, chic and definitely goes with basically everything.

another holiday obsession? dressing up this cutie pie...

it's good to be back. i'll be posting some reviews later this week. talk to you all soon! :D

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO? ARE YOU ENJOYING THE HOLIDAY SEASON?

ps: my good friend kimberlee started up her own blog! check her out here (and follow her on twitter!) :)
