for madeline.

as the month of april rolls around, i can't help but think of the spohr family.

before i started this little fashion blog, i used to spend my free time reading blogs. i don't know how i stumbled across heather's blog, but i did. and unfortunately, i found it after what is undoubtedly one of the biggest tragedies that could ever happen. their beautiful daughter madeline had passed away.

no, i'm not a parent..but hearing the spohrs' story just struck something in me. madeline was born over eleven weeks premature. i was a preemie myself, but not as drastic. i couldn't grasp how this little girl, with a contagious smile, was taken from her parents. no parent should have to see their child pass away. but that isn't the point to focus on.

i couldn't help but wonder...who else has been a preemie? albert einstein, mark twain, charles darwin, and a few more that may surprise you.

i mean, could you imagine what this world would be like without their contributions? ...but to bring to point home even more, could you imagine what it would be like if your child was born premature?

due to the advances of technology, madeline was able to bring joy to her family and friends for seventeen months.

due to the advances of technology, madeline's sister annabel was able to be born healthy. and due to heather chronicling madeline's life, annabel will never NOT know her big sister. she will always be able to look at pictures, videos, and her mother's blog entries. she will never be forgotten or overlooked.

i usually blog about fashion. and when you think about the context of how we value the importance of "fashion" .. you should also take a moment to realize that there are much more important things out there. one of the best things about the blogging community is that you know you're never alone - something that has helped heather and her husband mike through their darkest days.

heather and mike created friends of maddie after their loss. you can read more about their mission here, but it is very obvious - they want to help families who have to experience the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

i know times are tough right now for everyone, but i DEEPLY encourage you to donate. there is no minimum limit. you would be surprised of how far a dollar would go if everyone gave one. in addition, you can sponsor a family support pack for $25. we saw a cute purse, we wouldn't blink to donate $25.

it took me a while to write this, because it was a very important post to me. probably because i was a preemie myself. probably because many of us overlook what it's like to have family members in the hospital around the holidays. probably because most of us are too busy.

even if you can't donate, please just take a moment out of your day. be grateful for what you have. be grateful for the experiences that you've gone through. and please give a thought about madeline & the spohr family.

my new obsession.

confession time. i always find myself browsing on the anthropologie website, eying up and loving many items. but i've had a hard time ever ordering anything or placing an order. why? i'm not sure. part of it had to do with the fact that i didn't know what size i would be and i didn't really know the quality of the store.

i read a lot of blogs that LOVE anthro and always seem to suggest it, the most popular (and helpful) probably being anthroholic. i finally decided to place an order when i saw two gorgeous dresses that i had been eying up on sale.

anna sui tesserae dress
no longer available online

this dress is beyond gorgeous. i ordered two sizes but neither were flattering. the bottom has too much material and made me look way wider than i really am. the skirt was a bit too full and i'm not sure if it would really flatter anyone. this was the only disappointment in my first anthropologie experience.

akebia dress
found here

as soon as i put this dress on, i knew it was MAGICAL. haha. seriously, the ruffles are just perfect and they totally make you want to twirl. i'm glad that this was offered in petite because the dress fell perfectly on my 5'2 frame. the 6P fit perfectly but i felt that i could have sized down. i called customer service and they let me order a 4P, which arrived pretty quickly the next week.

i have to say - i am EXTREMELY impressed with anthropologie. they have amazing, helpful and friendly customer service. the only downside is the closest store is about twenty minutes away from me. that's not even that bad, because it's in a fabulous area near the water and you can actually see the skyline of new york city from across the river. i know if i lived extremely close to one, i'd probably be there every day (lol).

also, while i was on the phone placing the order for the smaller size, i noticed that something else that i had been eying up was also on sale.

lulea apron
no longer available online, although i did see a ton at the store so check yours

i never knew that their aprons go on sale! i couldn't believe that this gorgeous style was actually under $15! of course, i ordered it via telephone immediately and i couldn't be happier. i love to bake and cook on the weekends to relieve the stress of school and now i can do it in style.

when i went to the store to do my returns on the sizes i didn't keep i saw this pretty dress

dandelion wish dress
found here

how cute is that dress? i resisted the urge to try it on (ugh, it was even in my size!) because i've been trying to behave. i shouldn't have listened to myself (lol).

HAVE YOU EVER SHOPPED AT ANTHROPOLOGIE? WHICH ARE YOUR FAVORITE ITEMS?

sweet as a peach!

case of the mondays? hope these shoes brighten your day!

bronx peach ankle strap sandal
found here and here

it has been SUNNY and WARM where i live..which makes me really happy. i swear, the gloomy weather was really starting to get to me. what does the springtime bring? great weather - the weather that you don't have to worry about wearing socks, boots, and all of that stuff that i'm totally over by now. you can slip on beautiful sandals! i love this time of year when you can effortlessly look amazing with a beautiful shoe. this shoe caught my eye because i adore a pop of red (especially with a black outfit!). i love the braided accents and adorable name of the shoe! i also loved the corda vachetta color!

quite possibly the most comprehensive LoL post ever.

first...bloggy stuff.

as you may have noticed (lol) i FINALLY updated the layout! this is thanks to both rai and yummy lolly..haha :o) i'm loving the new look and honestly it's inspiring me already. hope you all like it too.

now. LIBERTY OF LONDON!

i was so excited for this collection when i first heard about it. however, i was VERY disappointed by the JPG collection so my high hopes had dissipated. still, i ordered some stuff the night LoL came out on the target website and i have to admit that i'm extremely glad that i did.

anna sui was my favorite collection so far. LoL is really challenging that. i LOVE the beautiful prints! i honestly can't tell you my favorite item lol. my favorite print is the sixty floral print. i think target should stick with this concept - good quality pieces at reasonable prices... less JPG type collections and more LoL ones...do you hear that, target? lol

for those that are petite - there is a petites section online only. i'm a hairline under 5'2 and i didn't really see much of a difference. it came in handy with one of my dresses (see reviews below) but not with the shirts. the shirts were just a bit shorter which actually got on my nerves and i exchanged the petite shirt i got for a regular size instead.

also, for those that are petite - check out the kids section! you can see gigi's post here for an example. i ordered some kid items (lol) and i'll post a review on that next week since i haven't received them yet. i also ordered some purses and a wallet..which i'll also try to include in that post if i get them anytime soon.

if you're looking for those cute liberty of london headbands and can't seem to find them..CHECK THE KIDS DEPARTMENT! seriously. i've been to 5 targets (i live extremely close to 2 and 4 are relatively close as well lol) and they've all been hiding there! they sell them either in a 3 pack (1 is patterned, 2 plain) and one big thick one..both sell for $3.99 and they're super cute. they do fit adult heads (lol) and i've even seen a ton in the toddler section..which i can't seem to grasp.

if you're DYING for an item but can't find it - call your store often and check often. i did that with an anna sui jacket. also, stalk the website. check it a lot. they restock randomly. another piece of advice - GO TO THE STORE. seriously. they have so many items that aren't online - like a lot of stationary kits, candles, portfolios, binders, etc.

now that i've probably have made half of you x out from my LoL rambling :P.. i'll give my reviews on what i tried on/bought. i'll also include some notes about sizing and hopefully that will help with any questions. if you do have additional questions, feel free to comment here or email me! i've been to so many targets by now and i'm starting to become a pro..lol. sad, i know.

[OMG - DID ANYONE ELSE KNOW THAT THERE'S A CYNTHIA VINCENT FOR TARGET LINE COMING OUT NEXT MONTH? ... i didn't. lol]

boho drop waist ruffle top in black isis print
found here

this top is also available in two other prints - found here and here (and modeled by the budget babe here!). i absolutely love this top. as gigi mentioned, the material is close to a washed silk.

sizing: i have a fairly large bust so sometimes i need to size up due to that but it was not a problem here. there is a lot of room in the small and i probably could have gone with an xs if i wanted a bit of a tighter fit. i think this is meant to fit a bit loose.

verdict: a total win, but the bottom ruffle may be a deal breaker for some.

tiered ruffle keyhole tank
found here

also available in this adorable print here! the keyhole fit perfect for me - aka, not too much exposure. i almost didn't order this because i thought it would look too cutesy. i couldn't believe how much i loved both prints on and i'm definitely keeping both!

sizing: i stuck with a medium but could have sized down to a small. i'd say pretty much a true fit but if you want it a bit tighter, go with the smaller size.

verdict: again, the ruffles may be a bit cutesy for some..but try this on! definitely worth it!

ruffle halter dress in martha grace print
found here

also available in the sixty print found here. i had ordered both but target made a mistake with my order and sent me a duplicate of the above print. i probably would have wound up just keeping this print - i swear, i've had a DREAM about this print lol. i just love it.

sizing: HUGE. i tried on the regular size small at the store and it swam on me. it was a bit too long too. the petite sizing made all of the difference. i wound up keeping the petite small and it felt as if there wasn't too much material as there was with the regular size.

verdict: a flattering fit for all - if you can find the right size for your body!

double strap dress - mauverina print
found here

this was a surprise for me. i passed on ordering it online because i hate ordering "number sizing" online lol .. whenever i order from target i order both a small and a medium, in rare cases a large. when it comes to numbers, one store i can be a 4 and another a 12. i have curves and a big bust so anything with zippers makes things more difficult (lol). i adore the pattern and the sash is extremely flattering.

sizing: when target has their designer collabs, i usually go up a few sizes. in anna sui, i think i took a 7 in one of the dresses (and an xs, s, and m in all different dresses.. sizing is never consistent for me). i fit in a 10 but it was waaay too blousy and sized down to an 8.

verdict: a surprisingly beautiful find!

2-fer halter dress in black dunclare print
found here

also available in pink dunclare print found here. this was another surprise to me. it looked like a generic halter dress and i didn't bother to order it online. i tried it on in target #5 today (lol) and loved it. super cute and definitely can be used as a skirt too!

sizing: another HUGE dress. the smallest size my store had today was a small. i bought it because i loved it so much but there is a ton of material. i ordered the extra small online and i'm hoping that has a better fit. either way, i'm keeping this!

verdict: it's cut extremely big - but that's a good thing in a way. it's perfect for a LOT of people! very flattering, even though there's a lot of material.

sateen shift dress in pink garla print
found here

also available in a yellow print found here. this dress looks fabulous on both sally and suze! i wasn't sure how this dress would fit my body type, but it was actually extremely slimming! i passed on this dress for now though, since i really have nowhere to wear it. i may go back for it .. or i may just see if the sale gods are on my side when this line eventually goes on clearance.

sizing: seems pretty much true to size. i tried on a size too small but i think i would have been fine with a size or two up.

verdict: seems like a very well made piece. try it!

embroidered babydoll dress
found here

meh. this is something i didn't order online but tried on in store. it's cute but does nothing for me. the bottom isn't as sheer as it looks online. cute design but way too much fabric.

sizing: seemed relatively normal, perhaps a smidge big. i did not enjoy the side zipper (lol)

verdict: a definite pass for me as it was an overall blah piece. i'd recommend going with another dress in this collection - more vibrant and more unique!

tunic swim coverup in black dunclare print
found here

also available in multi color found here. can you believe this is a swim coverup? it is AMAZING. as a lot of the reviewers on target suggest, this can be used as a really cute top or a dress (definitely with leggings as it is a bit sheer). this is one of my favorite pieces and i'm glad that i ordered it online on a whim!

sizing: i got a medium so it can be used as a dress or shirt.

verdict: RUN TO TARGET! i loved this.

pleated dress in jumper print
found here

ugh. i wanted to love this dress but it's just way too much fabric. even the extra small seemed huge. it's such a cute concept and the pleats actually look nicer in person but it's not practical for me.

sizing: huge. not for petites in my opinion (lol).

verdict: if this works for you - it's amazing. it's truly a gorgeous piece and i wish i could make it work for me.

tiered ruffle dress in black isis print
found here

i like this but i'm not sure if i'll be keeping it. i returned the one size i got (see sizing notes) but this is REALLY cute. it may have too many ruffles and be a bit overwhelming for my height.

sizing: HUGE. i ordered the small and it was too big. it made me look wide but you could tell that *i* wasn't wide and it was the dress. i reordered the extra small the other day and i'm going to see how that works.

verdict: another dress that may appeal to a lot of body types. SO cute!

poppy print rain boots
found here

ADORABLE. i couldn't resist these! perfect for spring. when first showing my mom, she thought they looked a bit childish but then she took back her remark. they may look a bit juvenile but they're too pretty for me to pass up!

sizing: i ordered a 6 and 7. the smaller size came in the mail the other day and it was okay. i need to try out the 7 before i make my mind up. i'll probably size up.

verdict: SCORE! so pretty.

floral milkcrate
found here

i'm trying to hunt this down. i bought this and this. i wish i would have bought more online when they were in stock. they're pretty nicely crafted for the price. as i mentioned, this is my favorite print. i have the two that i bought sitting on my desk. my school stuff is organized perfectly! see the other varieties/prints of organizational supplies here.

verdict: if you need to get organized, get these! they're great motivation..if you can even find them at your store! i've been having a bit of trouble finding the matching pieces especially in this print.

this is one of the only IRL pics that i have of this collection. for me - these chairs have been HARD to track down and they are sold out online. i am in love with this chair and it took me 5 targets to actually find one in this print. you may be able to see the chair in the black dunclare print towards the back of the picture. however, the craftsmanship on this chair isn't the best. the chairs retail for $99.99 or $99.95..i forget lol..but somewhere around there. i don't think the price is worth it, as the two chairs the store had were peeling or missing part of the print on the chair. kind of disappointed..but i bought myself a mug in the same print for like $5 and i feel a lot better ;o)

WHICH ARE YOUR FAVORITE ITEMS? ARE YOU ENTRANCED BY THIS COLLECTION?

disappearance.

even though i was off this week, i was terrible with posting. blah. i really apologize for my lack of posts and i hope to do a blog revamp + some new posts by the end of this weekend. i have a HUGE review on liberty of london too.

see you all soon.

style crush: the kardashians

something i hate to admit? i kind of love the kardashians. i debated on whose style i wanted to focus on. it was super hard, because i'll often debate on who is my favorite kardashian too. i'd say that my own personality is similar to kourtney's, but then again khloe is hilarious..and kim, oh kim, always looks gorgeous. see? i can't pick.

i'm sure there's sibling rivalry in their family, as with most sisters...but they seem to have such great bonds with each other.

i also like that the sisters embrace their curves.
i don't like how much they endorse quick trim though... but let's just leave this post to style ;)

i personally think some of kourtney's best style shined through during her pregnancy. i'd wear probably all of her outfits that she wore when she was pregnant even for my own normal style!

i also agree with kourtney's quote of "you definitely have to know what trends work for you" ... i think that ANYONE can look fabulous if they dress right for their body! certain trends just don't work for everyone. when you can have a knack of picking outfits that fit you best, you've mastered your own personal style.

i guess another reason why i love their style is because i can relate to them. i am blessed with a kim-esque bootay/overall body type, something that DEFINITELY was not embraced in the world of fashion a few years back, even with jlo's bootay making it's own news.

their style can be easily replicated too! throw on a cute tunic, some leggings and a blazer - i'd say you'd look just as fabulous as ms. k! (those booties are making me droooool!)

(okay, maybe kim's style is my absolute favorite...but it's still haaarrrrd to pickkkk!)

can you believe this is just one photo of their fabulous airport attire? seriously, what a stylish way to travel! i especially love kourtney's boots.

and even if you don't like their style, i think most of us can agree that they have fabulous locks! i'd do just about anything for their gorgeous hair!

WHAT'S YOUR VERDICT ON THEIR STYLE? WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE KARDASHIAN?

just a note about the style crush feature on here... i often like to gather a ton of pictures and put together a post but i think sometimes i will just feature a picture or two of someone's style who i'm loving or a few different outfits that i've loved this week. keep your eyes open for the new format soon!

pssst...i have a secret!

case of the mondays? hope these shoes brighten your day!

kelsi dagger camellia sandal
found here, here and here

you know those gorgeous, amazing and sometimes a bit expensive pour la victoire shoes that i allllllways blog about?! did you know that kelsi dagger is their less expensive but still luxe and stylish as ever brand?! i didn't know until a few months ago. it's nice to know that the company recognizes both high and low budgets and still produces amazing shoes. while i have not had the opportunity to buy/own a pair of kelsi dagger shoes, their designs seem just as awesome and unique as PLV's.

it was difficult to pick my favorite shoe to highlight but i ultimately decided on the camellia sandal (the colleen gladiator was a close second). while i love the aesthetic of heels and the height it provides my 5'2 frame, i always resort to flats in the summer. the flats that i like to buy are less than boring so they make up for their lack of height ;P .. i love the detailing on these!

WOULD YOU ROCK THESE SHOES?

lazy weekend.

this weekend has been pretty blah. i've opened blogger so many times to write, just to sit here with an empty post for a few minutes and x out. i guess i was feeling a bit uninspired and to be honest i still am a bit.

i ordered some liberty of london items from target last night at 4AM. i've been seeing good reviews on various blogs and twitter so i'm hoping that i love it. JPG did NOTHING for me. i'm totally in love with all of the beautiful floral prints from LOL. the county in nj that i live in has "blue laws" which mean you can't buy clothing/electronics on sundays - aka no target. i could go out of county but there's a lot of damage because of the awful 40-50mph winds and rain we had yesterday...so i'm trying to get to the store tomorrow to look at some stuff in person, as well as hunt down a particular bag i'm looking for as well as a wallet. i'll be sure to do a review once i see things in person.

most of you already know, but for those that don't - forever 21 is offering FREE SHIPPING with any order! use WEMISSYOU10 as the promo code. today is the last day to use it.

here's what i snagged from the free shipping offer - i made a few separate orders, but i did spend over $75 cominbed...which kind of defeats the purpose of the free shipping code since i'd get free shipping anyway, right? lol

grand elephant necklace
found here

this was the item that i've had my eye on for a while now. i didn't purchase it because i didn't feel like paying shipping on one necklace. needless to say, i immediately took advantage of the free shipping for this super cute necklace! i love anything with elephants. i first fell in love with emily's necklace on cupcakes and cashmere and then was happy to find this alternative from dianna from the budget babe! i also bought this necklace after rai told me about it - so cute!

retro twist cardigan
found here

this was another piece that i found on the budget babe (thanks dianna!). it was actually worn by one of the contestants on american idol. that show is sort of my guilty pleasure and i actually adored the cardigan, so i HAD to get it! i don't own anything like this cardigan, even with the seeming abundance of cardigans in my wardrobe already.

fab pencil knit skirt
found here

i've been looking for the perfect black skirt for a while. i work in a conservative work environment and i can't wear anything too too short. this seems to fit the bill! and for under $6, how could i pass it up?

brushstroke sleeveless tunic
found here

i couldn't make my mind up if i wanted this or not, but i kept going back to the page. i like the detailing and i think it's a unique piece. a bit expensive for f21, but it's silk. i hope it looks as pretty in person!

double banded headband
found here

i've only recently become obsessed with headbands! i couldn't pass this cute headband up for only $1.50! i bought three colors and i also bought this and this in regards to headbands.

bejeweled woven tunic
found here

i originally saw this on erika's blog and fell in love with it. i don't shop at f21 often and i never shop online because i hate paying for shipping (lol). i took advantage of the promo code to snag this! i think i'm going to get a ton of use out of it this spring/summer!

side handle leatherette tote
found here

now, this isn't for me. i've been looking high and low for the perfect bag for my mom's birthday in april. she doesn't like to wear black bags in the summer, so i figure this shade of brown will be perfect for her!

bouquet ruffle dress
found here

i didn't purchase this online but instead in store a few weeks ago. the print is gorgeous! i don't care for the slip underneath the dress, but without it the dress is a bit sheer/see-thru. i think i'll be cutting the slip out and paring it with something else. this is a great f21 find though.

i also made a purchase from anthropologie for the first time EVAHHH and i'm thrilled with my purchase. i'll post a separate entry this week about it!

american chic: bag a friend!

i've blogged about one of my favorite online websites before - american chic (see their blog by clicking here)! (seriously, i probably check the website multiple times a day) now, i want to share their new "bag a friend" program with my readers!

please note that i have purchased these bags on my own. i have been a customer with american chic for a few months now and i'm super pleased with all of their products and their incredibly helpful customer service. i wouldn't share this with you guys unless i knew it was a reputable company!

anyway, back on track. these are some of the bags/jewelry that i've purchased from their website over the past few months:

do i even need to state the inspiration for this? the uber sought after coco bag! easily one of my favorite styles ever. this is actually still in stock, but extremely limited quantities!

i was able to snag the paraty inspired bag for $20! i bought the color above (nutmeg) as well as black. i adore the style and it definitely looks super chic!

i also snagged the rebecca minkoff morning after inspired bag on sale for $25. another style i really adore, plus we all know my obsession with studs!

i love necklaces and that shouldn't be a suprise to anyone who is a regular reader of my blog lol. i couldn't pass up this cute apple pendant (and pretty braided chain!) and can't wait to wear it with a little black dress!

as you may have noticed, they have many designer inspired bags. i like owner jihan's philosophy - "I was always in love with high end brands. I would spend my last dollar to own the latest celebrity it bag like a Louis Vuitton or Chanel. But when I discovered Designer Inspired Handbags, I realized that it wasn't the name I was in love with - it was the style. And style should not be exclusive. So I started American Chic to make luxury style handbags affordable for everyone."

their referral program is very simple and i personally think it's a fabulous program! when you check out, where it says "how did you find out about our website" just put the email address "FASHIONXCOURT@GMAIL.COM"

with this, you may help me earn a free bag (YAY!) and you may want to sign up for this referral program for YOUR own blog so YOU can earn a bag too! and then we're all happy with our new bags, right?! :P  plus, we could all use a little good karma!

see their current selection by clicking HERE!

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF AMERICAN CHIC? WHICH BAG IS YOUR FAVORITE?

chocolate + a little bit of fashion.

i received a small chocolate heart from mrs. fields for valentine's day, which obviously isn't pictured above because i can't find a picture of it :(. why didn't i finish it already? i'm a SLOW chocolate eater. i enjoy it, but too much sugar makes me sick. ...um...i'm kind of obsessed with this chocolate.

throw out all of your preconceptions about "boxed" or "canned" chocolated, because ohmylordy this stuff is amazing. let me just tell you one of the chocolates in the box - CHOCOLATE COVERED CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH.

i'm serious.

and now i'm looking at the website and i don't see chocolate available...besides chocolate covered strawberries. which is depressing. maybe i'm not looking in the right spot.

i NEED more of this stuff in my life! does anyone know where to find it?

but i digress...

i was talking to rai of the glam morena about one of my new finds on twitter yesterday (click here for my twitter!) there's a pink blazer that i'm in absolute love with from olsenboye and i needed to share it with everyone!

 olsenboye twill blazer
found here
also available in blue but omahgawdthatshadeofpink!

JUST LOOK AT THAT BLAZER OF COMPLETE CUTENESS.
...i'm okay, really.

it's much brighter and lively in person than the picture, fyi. also, it looks more of a jersey type of material from that picture (in my opinion at least) and it is definitely a bit on the stiffer side. still comfy though.

product description is "Get the military look seen on the runway with this utilitarian twill blazer."

uh...utilitarian? like, i get it...but please, i've had enough of studying that for school. plain and simple: it's a super super cute twill blazer. and it's pink!

and for $24.99, it's a fashionable buy!

WHAT HAVE YOU PURCHASED LATELY? HAVE YOU TRIED ANY OF THE OLSENBOYE COLLECTION AT JCPENNEY?

my review of jpg for target

if you want to save yourself from reading my entire reviews on everything, i can sum up this collection for you in one word...

MEH.

it is not one of my favorite collabs at target, by far. i didn't think that the material was good quality, especially for the price. i'm not completely dissing this collection, because it MAY work for you. in fact, it looked fabulous on the budget babe's sister! but for me, not so much.

i waited until 3am on sunday morning to order everything online, but i went to the store today. here are my reviews of the items that i actually tried in in the store.

lingerie lace trim dress
found here

i saw this on the hanger. no wonder why they had this covered in all of the promo pics (lol). i'm not feeling this because the top just screams "my boobs look like eyebrows" to me..and i don't know why. i think the green is a nicer color and probably could be pulled off if you're very very thin. i did not try this on because it just isn't my style. looked a bit thin fabric-wise.

striped tank dress
found here

this also comes in red, which i did not see in stores. this item was okay. VERY thin and also runs large. for example, i took an XS. i'm usually a small in target dresses and sometimes a medium in the collabs. this runs huge. as i said, it is SUPER thin...like you could tell the color of my undies through it (lol). the dress has a drape, which you can wear a few different ways. between the legs...it looks weird. i actually made the drape into a scarf and it looked super cute. i don't think i'll be keeping this though.

bustier dress with shrug

this also comes in black which seems to be an online exclusive. i don't think this dress works for busty girls or at least ones with a small waist/curvy hips. i tried a medium on and it looked horrible. the large looked like a potato sack. super disappointed, as i love the concept of this dress but it doesn't work on my body type (as i said - i would compare myself to a kim kardashian body type, very small waist, curvy hips and a bootay lol). the quality wasn't bad on this, but the shrug is not flattering.

also available in white, which i did not see at my store. i LOVED this when i tried it on, but i'm a busty girl so the buttons on the size L (which i rarely take in target tops) didn't look right. i would have tried an XL but i think the bottom would have been too baggy, plus my store didn't have any bigger sizes. i don't think it is worth $30, even loving it...but i may change my mind about that.

ugh. this dress is so freaking adorable, but the fit is much like the striped bustier dress. just doesn't work for me. the material reminds me of a rain coat a bit too, which i bet would make it wrinkle a lot.

this looked like luscious leather (lol) and most likely worth the high price tag. it is NOT my style though. i don't like the design on the back of the elbows. other than that, thumbs up.

also available in a floral print. i saw these walking in and was NOT impressed enough to try it on. i think that should say enough lol. it definitely will not work on me and i don't see how it could work on anyone with any boobs, at all. who knows, i could be wrong. the back is way too low cut for my liking too.

also available in a peachy color. very thin material but sort of pretty. also wasn't impressed enough to take it off of the rack. may work for some.

strapless cloque dress

i'm on the fence with this dress. warning though - it runs SUPER small..as in i had to go a few sizes up. it is a really flattering cut, which i'm a bit surprised of because of my body type (see above references lol). it looked fabulous on but i'm not sure how much i really need a strapless lbd. i won't return it until i know for sure though, because it was the last one left at my store in the size i need. the material reminds me of a rain coat and is a bit plasticy, but there's something that i really love about it. ughhh, i can't make my mind up!

striped trench coat
currently unavailable online - check your store, mine had TONS!

i saved the best for last. this is my absolute favorite piece in the collection. i love everything about this coat. i took a size medium, which makes sense to me since i took a size medium in the anna sui ruffled coat. definitely runs a bit on the bigger side though, i probably could have gotten away with the small. the quality is amazing and i think this is the best piece. it's $60 but SO worth it because it is literally the perfect trench coat. the brown is a richer brown than the normal tan trench too. very cute detailing.

my personal opinion is if you're going to try out anything from this collection - try the trench coat or the strapless cloque dress in black. they are the standout pieces for me.

blah. this collection just wasn't for me. i don't know what exactly it was - maybe the materials, maybe the cuts of the items on my body. here's hoping liberty of london for target is much better (look for my preview post on it later this week!)

DID YOU SEE THIS COLLECTION IN STORES YET?

if you've posted a blog entry about this - let me know! i love reading others' opinions :o) ... also i'm excited because i may actually go to anthropologie for the first time in person this week (i know, what rock have i been living under?!)
