oh, hayden.

ENTER MY ALICE IN WONDERLAND GIVEAWAY HERE!

i have always admired hayden panettiere's style. the girl always manages to look fabulous! however, i've really never watched any of the shows or movies that she's been in. i can't say that i hate her, i can't say that i love her.
however, i will admit that i am a fan. i received SELF magazine in the mail the other day and found her on the cover.

i don't know if it's just me...but when i saw the cover, i smiled. hayden looks STUNNING. but what really stuck out to me was the fact that she doesn't look like an emaciated mess. she looks fit and healthy.

really, is it just me?

because i think that hayden should be a role model and an inspiration when it comes to self image. sure, she's promoting fitness but she's not promoting an overall unrealistic body image. she looks human. she looks like US. maybe that's why i feel like i can relate to her.

i'm not saying that she is an angel, i'm sure there are stories about her saying otherwise..but it's nice to see someone healthy looking in today's celebrity world, isn't it?

(and she tries to save the dolphins, dude! that can only add some more points in my book!)

a nice highlight from her interview:
On being a young celeb: “There’s an expectation for me to be the next Messed-Up Party Girl. But I just focus on living my life, being myself and doing what I love.”

...and hopefully, she stays this grounded for a successful and happy career and life.

a confession

darlings, i have a secret. it's a pretty big one too...i mean, i wouldn't want the WHOLE world knowing, so i'll tell you guys...as long as you promise not to tell.

pinky swear? mmkay.

i'm a virgin.....an asos virgin

seriously.

i have ALWAYS drooled over their website but never made the jump to buy anything. why? i don't know, honestly. i've always been sort of intimidated to be honest and i don't know why.

i have ordered from the UK before - from topshop. but for some reason, i can never pull the trigger with asos.

it seems like they have good customer service, a good return policy AAAAND pretty good prices for shipping...which is also really good because i think i remember them having higher shipping a while back.

my asos virginity may be altered soon... because i'm absolutely smitten with this dress

style crush: rose byrne

i never knew who rose byrne was until i started watching damages. sad, right?

by the way, if you like legal shows and dramas, you'll probably love this show. it's really hard to follow but it's fun to follow...if that makes any sense. it's completely out of order and there are a TON of flashbacks. but it's totally worth it.

i instantly fell in love with her wardrobe on the show

unfortunately, there are very few pictures of some of my favorite looks online. to sum it up best, she always looks chic and fabulous.

that dress! i have to admit, that's kind of how i hold like all of my purses haha ;P

i found out that she has a pretty stellar wardrobe off of the show too!

i love the color of her dress. it goes perfectly with her hair color and skin tone.

i LOVE this ruffled dress!

i only recently discovered how amazing white dresses look with black stockings/leggings. this may have been my inspiration photo for a party that i recently went to

ms. byrne sure knows how to wear her blazers!

this is one of my favorite red carpet looks!

her hair always looks fabulous! i actually adore her hair color and it's very similar to my own

WHAT'S YOUR VERDICT ON HER STYLE?

disclaimer: i keep spelling her last name wrong, so it is nooo surprise to me if i messed up a few times haha ;P

mischa, mischa, mischa!

um...have i been living under a rock? because i did not know mischa barton had a handbag line out. i do remember maybe hearing that she was coming out with one but i didn't know that it was actually out...

i first saw it on celebrity chic and haaaad to google to find some more of her bags! from a quick search, i found the official website for them which has the biggest selection. asos also has some of her bags.

mischa CLEARLY still has fabulous style. i've always had a liking to her. here are some of my favorites (and seriously...why are most of the ones i love out of stock?!)

pyramid bowler
found here

although it says sold out, it also says style coming soon. i wonder which it is. either way, this bag is right up my alley. i am mildly (read: extremely) obsessed with studs. this would be the perfect addition to my closet.

ila birkin
found here

i love the color of this bag! the style is really nice too. i especially adore the padlock detail.

lyla clutch
found here

confession: i own many clutches but rarely wear them. my favorite is a dooney and bourke clutch that i splurged on a few years ago. it was from the hayden panettiere line. i love it and i bought the basic black. i think this aqua color is perfect for the summer!

siena bowler

i think this bag has a high end feel to it. i love it in black, but it looks fabulous in the other color as well.

cassidy double handled tote
found here

i love the mischa barton logo, which you can clearly see on this tote. i think this style/color combination is perfect for the spring and summer!

omg, more studs. clearly, mischa knows my weaknesses. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

THREE COMPARTMENTS?! my self proclaimed obsessively organized self is craaaving this lovely bag!

i look forward to getting one in the future. they all look like fabulous bags and from the website they look like good quality as well. the price ranges don't seem insane either. yep, this is going on the wish list! i'll be sure to provide a review if i get one :o)

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN OR HEARD OF MISCHA'S BAGS BEFORE? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF HER LINE?!

my hands.

image via flickr (not my hands. lol)

we ALL have that one part of their bodies that they hate, whether we'd like to admit it or not.

for me? it's my hands, especially during the winter.

i know. get real. big deal about your hands, tee.

anyone who has terrible, terrible hands like me in the winter knows that it IS a big deal. my hands get to such extremes that they dry and crack to the point where i have little cuts all over my hands that bleed at any given time and are painful as EFF. add in the fact that i use my hands a lot for writing, typing and baking and it makes it even worse. disgusting? YES. (tmi? yup.)

i do contribute to the problem by washing my hands unhumanely amounts of times per day. my dad teases me and says that i look like i'm prepping for surgery because i wash them so much. i also bake a LOT ... which includes kneading doughs, too much flour on my skin and wayyy too much washing my hands (again.)

i have tried everything to alleviate the problem. i am not a fan of lotion (what type of girl am i?) because i hate having a greasy feel on my hands. i try to sleep with gloves but my hands feel trapped (again, what type of girl am i? plus, i need to get my text on and gloves prohibit that. i even tried snipping the fingers off but it doesn't help lolol). i have tried EVERY type of lotion from the average drugstore brand, to salon quality to even prescription. nothing works.

my dad bought me the gold bond ultimate hand sanitizer (pictured above). it has the claims of being an alcohol free (read: it doesn't dry out your skin) sanitizer that feels like a lotion. pfffffbt, i thought. i didn't have too much hope since nothing else has worked in the past.

um...

i've been using it for about two weeks now and i have to say, my hands have never been so soft...ever. they no longer look like the hands of a ninety year old. i no longer feel the need to hide my hands during class because i'm embarrassed of how they look.

to say a product has changed your life is dramatic. i really reserve this for the BEST of the BEST. i have to admit, this product is absolutely AMAZING. it's not super super cheap, but it is WAY out of any league of other "sanitizer lotions" that i have tried in the past. it is worth every single penny just not to have my hands as gross as they looked and felt before.

i'd like to add in that gold bond did not send me this product. my dad bought it for me. i wrote this review on my own because this stuff really works (uhh.. i just realized that's their slogan on their website, but hey - they're completely right for claiming it!)

you can find it in a smaller, purse sized bottle pretty much everywhere..i think my dad bought it for me at the supermarket. you can also find it online here and here. i have one in my purse and one in my house. i recently bought the bigger size which you can also find pretty much everywhere, or online here and here.

it looks like walmart's website is offering a free sample...which i TOTALLY recommend signing up for!

wow, this is my 100th post! haha

VICKYB!

i've only been suscribed to glamour for little over a year. i've bought them sporadically throughout the years, but i started to LOVE it only recently.

i've raved about some of their spreads in the past and this month's issue was no exception. it featured ms. victoria beckham [who i MAY have professed my love for at a spice girl's concert a few years ago... okay, i totally did. and she totally heard. we were right by the stage]

...because i'd have a feeling that we'd be bffs, wear pretty outfits with high heels and crowns, and i'd call her vickyb. and and and, we'd eat cupcakes..really. cuz even though she's skinny, she totally looks like she'd love a cupcake. again, just sayin.

i just love these photos!
