style crush: amanda seyfried

"The main thing you can change is how you perceive yourself. Stop looking in the mirror and realize that you're living for yourself, not other people. If we're so busy trying to change ourselves, especially aesthetically, were going to miss out on other, bigger things."

i've been a fan of amanda seyfried since she was in mean girls. in fact, she had one of my favorite lines in the entire movie... "well, i'm kinda psychic. i have a fifth sense... it's like i have ESPN or something."

but amanda has proved herself not to be the ditsy character she played back then. she seems
to actually have a good head on her shoulders, something rare to find in hollywood.

she also seems to have so much potential and i expect to see great things from her in the future.

and um, i'm kind of dying over those shoes she's wearing from the teen vogue shoot.

i've read articles that amanda likes to stick to natural beauty - she doesn't even like to blow dry her hair!

she never looks too made up (or fake, for that matter)... this only enables all of her styles to translate well to every day life too.

i think she's the epitome of the girl next door .. i absolutely adore her girly yet chic style!

WHAT'S YOUR VERDICT ON HER STYLE?

Her star is definitely on the rise! But she will always be the lovable ditz from Mean Girls..lol! Not that it's a bad thing, I think it's great legacy to be a part of such a cult classic. Also, it's ironic how Lindsay was the *star* of that movie and both Amanda and Rachel have passed her in talent, beauty and class.

My verdict is that Miss Seyfried's style is age-appropriate (believe it or not some celebs do get that concept wrong), effortlessly chic, relaxed, and girly. I love those platform animal print mary-janes! I also love the fact that as a celebrity she appreciates minimalism.

She is so gorgeous. Style-wise she isn't a particular favorite of mine, but she always looks cute and classy... I rarely dislike something that she's wearing. She looks GORGEOUS in that Teen Vogue shoot!

She's so grown up now, hard to believe that's the girl from Big Love. I would say, very girl next door!

She is so pretty and so girl-next-door. I love Amanda! I love how she's kind of become America's Sweetheart in a way, starring in all these great films. :)

I need to watch her other movies because I can't help but think of her as anything else but the ditzy girl from Mean GIrls. Even when I see her in commercials I think about her character in Mean Girls asking if it's OK to make out with a cousin lol!

I've been a fan of hers since Mean Girls too & I thought she looked absolutely stunning in the Teen Vogue spread.

Amanda is one of those girls that I think are fairly plain in terms of Hollywood but sometimes she has these absolutely stunning moments that make me think wow... she's really beautiful. Like some scenes from dear john!

she has really developed her style into a bombshell over the years. she used to be a straggly kiddo and now she is h-o-t!

I absolutely ADORE her! I remember I read an old Allure with her on the cover, and she came across so full of self-doubt, etc, and I read her recent Teen Vogue article, and I'm so glad she's come a long way into growing into herself. I love all her characters from Mean Girls to Big Love to Mamma Mia to Letters to Juliet! I feel like she's becoming America's Sweetheart, much like Julia Roberts.

PS Isn't it funny that the actresses who think they can't pull of ditzy at all create iconic characters (Reese Witherspoon is another I'm thinking of!)

I like her girl-next-door look, especially at a time when heavy make-up in Hollywood seems to be de rigeur. She's also very striking, without trying, which I admire greatly.
