polished

let me first apologize for really not being a good blogger lately..lol. i've had a lot of family stuff going on and honestly whenever i have free time, i'm sleeping or i go to check my email, try to start a new entry and nothing comes to mind.

i just wanted to do a quick post on some nail polish i picked up last week. some of you that follow me on twitter may have seen a little preview to this...

left to right: rumples wiggin, what's with the catitude, playa del platinum and turquoise and caicos

i'll preface my little reviews by first saying up until last fall, i was a pink/coral nail polish girl. i expanded my horizons (lol) and fell in love with grey and blue shades last fall..and i haven't looked back since.

also, sorry for like one picture of all of them lol. i don't claim to be a beauty blogger and honestly i don't have the patience to do a ton of swatches .. wish i did. anywaaay...

rumples wiggin: this is from the shrek collection for opi. love the light purple shade, i have a lot of things that will match with this. for reference, it's much lighter than do you lilac it by opi. definitely a great summer shade.

what's with the catitude: this is also from the shrek collection for opi. honestly, how can you pass that collection up? i'm not even a big shrek fan (i don't think i've even seen the movies, not that i can remember at least) but the advertisements for this collection were really cute. lol. i would have picked up some more colors but i honestly don't know if i'd like a green or a yellow. i would have tried the dark purple but they were sold out. another really pretty color.

playa del platinum: this is from the essie resort collection. i love this so much already and i plan to buy a second bottle. question: if you like a color a lot, do you typically buy extras? i usually do (lol). in a way, it doesn't make sense because you can often find a dupe and usually bottles last pretty long. this color will go with EVERYTHING you wear this summer. i love it. this is totally an essential color if you want to buy one new polish. it's a must have!

turquoise and caicos: this is also from the essie resort collection. it's a minty-teal. haha. if that makes any sense! i guess my mind was totally set on summer colors when i went shopping. i wasn't planning on picking this up but it totally caught my eye. it's not like a tiffany blue, but for some reason it gave me the same vibe.

WHAT COLORS ARE YOU LOVING FOR THIS SUMMER? DO YOU BUY MULTIPLES OF POLISHES THAT YOU LOVE?

Haha, like I tweeted - I really like the "whats with the catitude" shade :) I think I might just get a couple of those shades!

Hope everything at home is going better :)
I don't really wear nail polish (on my hands anyways). I'm just too clumsy with it and they chip after the first day! But I like the Playa de Platinum! That would probably look cute on my feet :)

BTW - Don't you just love the names!

Don't worry, I've been a terrible blogger too lately. There's just too much stuff going on! Hopefully things will get better for you soon though! :)

I'm loving your nail polish. It looks so pretty and perfect for spring!

Personally, I'm still in love with Essie's Mint Candy Apple; but I'm also coveting a pretty lilac or something similar.

I don't usually buy extras of polishes I like; I'm always scared they'll coagulate or something. Yes, I know that sounds extremely weird. :P

I love the 'rumples wiggin' (that's a rather strange name for a nail polish) colour. Very beautiful.
I think I missed the boat on nail polishes - it's never been something that I felt the need to do. In fact, I'm more of a toe polisher. So there you go...Haha.
