kinda late, but...

you may have noticed something a bit odd for me. i usually post REALLY comprehensive reviews of any new target collection...but i honestly was so turned off by the entire zac posen collection that i couldn't even think of one nice thing to say.

...gaaasp, i know, i know. a lot of people LOVED this collection and thought it was the best one yet. personally, i didn't care for it at all. none of the pieces translated for me..except maybe this dress that made me look kinda like a human cupcake. i have no where to wear these pieces and honestly..no desire to do so.

zac posen braided belt
found here in black and here in cognac/blue/pink

dear target, can you please style your stuff online a little better? like please? xoxo.

i must admit, i'm glad that i ordered the belts while they were available online. the reviews are a bit mixed on the target website, but i think that these are the standout pieces of the zac posen collection. they currently are sold out online and only available in stores. i have NEVER seen any belts from any collection actually in stores..so i suggest stalking that link in case they come back in stock or calling a few targets (or even the direct 1-800 number or something) if you really want one of them.

my advice is to order up. the sizes are listed as small - medium and large - extra large. i typically take a small in a regular belt since i have a small waist (where i like to wear my belts, not on my actual hips lol) but i needed the larger size in this case. the buckles are really nice and not a pain to fasten, as some belts are.

WHAT WAS YOUR OVERALL OPINION OF THE ZAC POSEN COLLECTION? WHICH HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE COLLECTION AT TARGET SO FAR?

I haven't checked out the collection yet because there are no target stores in the UK (at least not that I know of). I hope the target people read your criticism. I looks like they think any designer collab will sell by itself these days. Wishing you a wonderful weekend! xoxo

i looked at the line online and was not a fan. I tried really hard to get into some of the pieces because I had heard rave reviews from other bloggers but i just couldn't. Nothing and I mean NOTHING stood out to me. And-I agree 100% no 150% about the styling. Target needs to revamp their website all together. I find it extremely annoying to navigate and the search option always brings me to something that has nothing to do with the item I am looking for...okay rants done...for now. see you on twitter!

I was so excited about it but have finally been seeing it in stores and have to say that I'm not crazy about it. The fabrics (especially on the snap dress -- I was hoping for jersey) are just not what I'd imagined, unfortunately leading to disappointment. My favorite designer collection thus far would have to be Cynthia Vincent, solely for the impossible-to-get-my-hands-on wedges. Oh, Target, how you tease me.

I did get the chambray dress and the teal/brown belt. I put a sleeveless top with it and the belt and I think it came out nicely. But the other stuff I could do without.

I haven't seen any of them yet in person :(

Personally I think looking like a cupcake it pretty cool, especially in a dress that pretty, but whatever floats your boat :P

I expected more from Zac Posen to be honest... But then again there is no such thing as Target in the UK so it doesn't affect me haha

Ah I didn't mind the Zac Posen collection as much as I highly disliked the Anna Sui or Jean Paul Gaultier collection. I found that his pieces were more formal wear, and were definitely geared towards the prom crowd (how I don't know because last time I checked long gowns were the norm for prom) thus making the prices justified. But both the Anna Sui and JPG collections were around the same price and they were insanely AWFUL.
I think my favorite collection yet is by Rodarte. And coincidentally they paired with a teen blogger for it, who, I dunno, has a better understanding of price ranges and what girls actually want! Maybe these other designers should start referring to them more often!

I didn't end up getting anything because I was slow, but it sounds like I didn't miss too much, lol!

I was pretty disappointed in this collab as well - totally didn't even notice the belts but that one does look pretty cool - hopefully the future collections will be better! I have high hopes for Tucker... although I probably shouldn't if I don't want to be disappointed.

Saw some of the stuff at the stores....not my cup of tea either. But then again, I'm not much for clothes shopping lately. I get things on a need to buy basis :o/

I don't really have much idea when it comes to target collections as I reside outside the US. Still, I hate it when shops get lazy with their collections, it's as if they know their collections are always so successful so they stop making the effort!
Hopefully the next collection will be better than this one :)

The collection online is erm, questionable, I don't know how they have presented themselves in stores because Im on the other side of the pond. But from where I am splashing this collab is not the best. Nice blog though xx
